Going for Gold: Special Olympics UK Summer Games 2026

We are thrilled to announce that this August, the Special Olympics UK Summer Games are returning! For the first time since 2017, the country’s most dedicated learning-disabled athletes will gather for a monumental five-day celebration of sport, inclusion, and excellence.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience

This isn’t just a competition, it is the pinnacle of years of hard work. For our athletes, qualifying for these Games is the ultimate reward for their unwavering dedication and rigorous training. They will join over 1,700 athletes from across the UK to compete on a national stage, complete with inspiring opening and closing ceremonies that celebrate the spirit of the Games.

Our Team’s Journey

We are incredibly proud to announce that we are sending a talented delegation to the heart of the action at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham. We will be represented by our Track & Field Team,  ready to showcase their speed, strength, and determination and also our Football Team, prepared to display exceptional teamwork and skill on the pitch.
