Big News: Birmingham, Here We Come! 🥇
We are beyond excited to share some incredible news that has set the whole team buzzing!
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of WightAID, Sporting Opportunities Isle of Wight has been awarded a massive grant of over £8,200, we believe this is their biggest grant ever donated. This life-changing support has helped to clear the path for our athletes to travel to the Special Olympics Great Britain Summer Games this August!
We’ll be heading to the iconic Alexander Stadium in Perry Barr, Birmingham, to compete on the national stage, and we couldn’t be prouder.
Participating in the Special Olympics is about so much more than just the medals. It is about courage, connection, and the spirit of competition. This grant helps to cover getting our team safely to Birmingham, ensuring our athletes have a comfortable base to stay at while they compete also making sure everyone has exactly what they need to perform at their absolute best.
