🏆 Cotswold Medal Haul for Sporting Opportunities Isle of Wight!
Three determined teams from Sporting Opportunities Isle of Wight (SOIW) made the long journey to the Cotswold Bowls Club in Stroud, Gloucestershire, for their annual indoor bowls competition. Travelling up the day before, the excited squad faced a mix of pre-match nerves and some expectations, but they absolutely blew the competition away!
Facing stiff opposition from seasoned squads from as far afield as Wales, the Island athletes rose to the occasion. A few players made their competitive debuts, and despite the Sharks being a player short and having to constantly adapt, their team spirit never wavered.
The squad made the two days of travel entirely worth it by bringing home a fantastic haul of silverware:
🥈 SOIW Seals – Division B Silver Trophy Winners! - Caitlin, Eloise, Beki, Fleur
🥉 SOIW Sharks – Bronze Medal Winners! - Samantha, Ross, Michael (Our mighty team of three who kept smiling through every single match!)
🎖️ SOIW Dolphins – Finished in a brilliant 4th place, just missing out on the podium! - Kevin, Sarah, Anna-Rosa, Ben
